Looking for a Governess?

A governess is a childcare professional who focuses on the education of a student from a young age.

A governess will typically start with children aged 5 and over but in some cases may start as young as 3 yrs old. A governess will often teach specialised subjects, manners and etiquette and general behaviour.

Governesses  provide supplementary education or full time home-schooling, are able to prepare educational activities and devise a more intensive or long-term strategy where required; for example if the goal is attend top London prep or independent schools and take the 7+ or 11+ entrance exam.

Governesses are qualified in childcare and education, and usually have teaching or tutoring background.
